For community banks

A conversational banking assistant your customers text. Under your bank's name.

Flip is a money manager people talk to in iMessage: it reads their accounts, answers money questions, catches bills, and moves cash with a tap to approve. Community banks license it to offer the kind of assistant the largest banks are building in-house, under their own brand, in weeks.

What customers get

A money manager they text, that knows their bank accounts.

Flip is the AI money manager thousands of people already text in iMessage. Licensed to a bank, the same assistant runs under your brand, answers from your customers' accounts, and routes every move back through your products.

Answers about their own money

"What did I spend on groceries?" "Can I afford this?" Customers text a question and get an answer built from their real accounts, in seconds.

Bills and subscriptions handled

Flip spots a bill that changed, a free trial about to bill, or a subscription nobody uses, and offers to cancel or remind before money leaves.

Money moved only with a yes

Transfers, payments, and savings moves are drafted by Flip and approved by the customer with a passkey. Nothing happens without an explicit yes.

Savings that go to you, not a fintech

Idle cash gets surfaced as a move into your share and certificate products instead of a neobank's savings account, with the bank named in the text.

Proactive, not another inbox

Flip texts first when it matters: a paycheck landed, rent is due before the next deposit, a card has a credit sitting unused. Quiet otherwise.

Works in the thread they already use

iMessage on iPhone, SMS everywhere else. No new app to download, no new password to forget, no notification permission to beg for.

Why community banks

The big banks are shipping assistants. Yours can be live first.

Compete on service, not app budget

You will not out-build a national bank's mobile team. You can out-serve them with an assistant that answers in the customer's Messages thread and knows your products by name.

Keep deposits where they are

When a customer's checking balance sits idle, a neobank's app invites it to leave. Flip proposes your savings or CD, by name, and drafts the transfer for approval.

Reach customers who never open the app

Most customers log in rarely. Everyone reads texts. Flip speaks first when a paycheck lands, a bill jumps, or a trial is about to charge, and stays quiet otherwise.

Lower routine inbound volume

Balance checks, transaction questions, and 'why did this bill go up' resolve in the thread. Anything that needs a person hands off to your branch or contact center with context.

Consent on every move

Flip never moves money on its own. Customers approve each transfer with a passkey and every approval is logged, which is the posture your compliance team and examiners want to see.

Pilot before you commit

Start with a customer cohort and weekly numbers on engagement, questions answered, and dollars moved into your products. Decide on the data.

How it fits

Your core, your brand, your rules.

Flip sits beside your online banking, not inside it. Launch takes an account data feed, a phone number or short code, and a short configuration pass on what Flip may do for your customers. Most pilots go live within a few weeks of signing.

Account data

Read-only account access through Plaid or your existing aggregator, or a direct feed from your core. Flip never holds your customers' credentials.

Your brand on the thread

White-label under your name and short code, or co-branded "Powered by Flip". Either way the bank owns the customer relationship.

Guardrails you set

Which actions are allowed, dollar thresholds, hand-off rules to your contact center, and the tone of voice are configured per institution.

Compliance built around consent

Every action is logged with the approval that authorized it. We work through your vendor due diligence questionnaire and share our security documentation on request.

Licensing

Three ways to bring Flip to your customers.

Pilot

A 90-day pilot with a cohort of customers you choose. Fixed fee, weekly reporting on engagement and money moved, a go or no-go at the end.

Per active member

Licensed per customer who texts Flip each month, with a floor that scales down for smaller community banks. Inactive customers cost nothing.

Co-branded revenue share

Flip under both brands, with a share of subscription revenue to the bank and no license fee. Good when you want to test demand before committing budget.

Pricing depends on customer count and which actions you enable. Ask on the call and we will send a one-page proposal the same day.

Questions

What heads of digital ask us first.

Do customers need a new app?
No. Flip runs in iMessage on iPhone and over SMS elsewhere. Customers text a number you publish. Enrollment and account linking happen once in a secure web step.
How does Flip get account data?
Read-only, through Plaid or your existing aggregator at launch, or a direct core feed (Jack Henry, Fiserv, FIS, and others) after the pilot. Flip never stores customer credentials.
Can Flip move money?
Only when the customer approves a specific transfer or payment with a passkey. You decide which actions are enabled and set limits. Every action and its approval are logged.
Is it white-label?
Yes. Run Flip under your brand and number, or co-branded. The customer relationship and data stay with the bank.
What about vendor due diligence?
We complete your third-party risk questionnaire and share security documentation under NDA. Bank connections run through Plaid, which is SOC 2 Type II audited and ISO 27001 certified.
What does it cost?
A fixed-fee pilot, then per active customer per month, or a co-branded revenue share with no license fee. You get a one-page proposal after the first call.

Most 'conversational banking' demos are a chatbot bolted onto a login page. Members do not want to log in to ask a question. Here is what the category looks like when it works, and how a credit union should evaluate it.

how credit unions compete with neobanks in 2026 (without a $50M app budget)

Neobanks did not win on rates or trust. They won on zero friction and on noticing things first. Both are copyable, and a credit union can copy them faster than it can rebuild its app.
