Announcement

We raised $1.4M to make money feel conversational

Flip is building a money manager that lives where financial decisions already happen: in the group chat, in a quick text to yourself, in the moment you are deciding whether tonight's plan still fits next week's rent.

Our $1.4M pre-seed gives us room to keep pushing on a simple belief: most people do not need another dashboard. They need their money to talk back in plain language, at the right time, with enough context to be useful.

Why now

Personal finance software still expects people to become operators

The old model asks people to log into a tool, categorize transactions, build rules, maintain budgets, and remember to check in. That works for a narrow slice of people. For everyone else, it becomes another abandoned tab.

We think the interface should be lighter. Ask a question, forward a receipt, mention a plan, or check whether you can make a move. Flip should turn those tiny everyday signals into a clear picture of what is safe, what changed, and what needs attention.

Product

The money manager is becoming a participant, not a place

The first version of Flip is intentionally direct. It helps people understand spending, track goals, and make day-to-day choices without needing to translate their life into spreadsheet language.

Over time, that means richer context, smarter reminders, better shared-money flows, and a relationship with your finances that feels closer to texting someone who knows the full story than operating a back-office tool.

Next

We are opening this up with care

Money is sensitive. The product has to earn trust through privacy, clarity, and restraint. We are building slowly where it matters, expanding access as the experience gets sharper and more dependable.

If you are someone who has tried every budgeting app and still ends up thinking in screenshots, notes, and texts, we are building Flip for you.
